We held the "Digitalization and Civil Society Actors Workshop."

On December 6, 2022, we held the "Digitalization and Civil Society Actors Workshop" in Ankara, organized by our Civil Society Think Tank unit.

The workshop was attended by prominent figures such as Dr. Buğra Ayan, Founder of the Web3 Technologies Association, Dr. Ahmet Kılıç, Board Member of BTK, Köksal Büyük, Advisor to the Rector of Ankara University, and many other esteemed guests.


During the workshop, which evaluated the digitalization process for civil society actors, the following topics were discussed:
- What is digitalization? What are the expectations, benefits, and risks?
- How does the digitalization process of civil society work around the world? (Applications and examples)
- How does the digitalization process of civil society work in Turkey? The integration of civil society into digitalization.
- What are the effects of digitalization on civil society actors? What are the benefits and risks?
- The impact of digitalization on volunteering.
- How civil society actors reach individuals with disabilities and digitalization.
- Security concerns in civil society with digitalization (in the context of personal data protection).
- New technologies (Blockchain, Web 3.0, Metaverse) and civil society (potential effects, areas of use, suggestions).
- How digitalization should be addressed within the regulatory framework and the compliance process for civil society actors.
- The impact of digitalization on civil society actors.
The topics were discussed and evaluated in light of the relevant literature and field research.
