CSO Meter, a unique unit, aims to contribute to the development of sustainable civil society management processes that can respond to the sociological realities experienced at national and international levels, moving away from traditional management approaches in CSO’s. To achieve this goal, CSO Meter is dedicated to measuring, evaluating, and identifying development needs regarding key performance indicators in CSO management processes, with a focus on volunteerism at its core.
To fulfill its mission, CSO Meter lays its foundations through various preparatory activities, including field research, focus group discussions, studies of historical civil society management models such as "Vakıf Müesseseleri" and "Ahilik Teşkilatı," ISO 9001 Quality Management System reviews, literature reviews, and field surveys, conducted by its team of academics and field experts. In collaboration with the Civil Society Development Academy and the Quality Coordination, CSO Meter aims to develop scientifically grounded indices and measurement tools for CSO management processes, offering evaluation, classification/ranking, and guidance services using these developed tools.
